Newsletter #3 : April-May 2011

On May 1st 2011, over 4,500 pre-registrations had been received. Because of the high number of pre-registrations (we sincerely thank those of you who have pre-registered), we have done our best to enter them in the  database and  send back registration receipts. We hope that all our 2 CV friends have now received their receipts.

Remember that you can still pre-register until May 31st.

Why pre-register ?

We have to remind you that pre-registrations are essential for the organizing team.. They enable us to anticipate the number of participants so that we can properly size the various facilities (registration, toilets…) for everybody’s comfort. Those of you who will have pre-registered will be allowed to enter the site as soon as Tuesday July 26th at 10.00 am, while the other participants will have to wait till 5.00 pm. For obvious organization reasons, the organizing team will not be able to book camping spots in advance. You can pre-register until May 31st 2011 on www.2cvfrance2011.fr.

With a higher participation than initially expected (thanks to the pre-registrations for allowing us to take this increase into account), we have managed to secure more camping fields next to the meeting site, thanks to the city of Salbris, which bring the total area to 80 hectares, of which 60 hectares will be for camping only.

If you have specific medical needs

We advise people with specific medical needs or disabilities to contact the organizing team should they need any particular arrangements : This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Slovenia and Poland candidates for the organization of the 2015 World Meeting

Our Slovenian friends have announced at the AGM of Amicale Citroën Internationale in Paris that they will bid for the organization of the 2015 World Meeting of 2 CV friends, 20 years after hosting it in Maribor. Our Polish friends have also confirmed that they will run for the 2015 World Meeting. We have heard of another (but still unofficial) candidate. We strongly encourage other potential candidates to contact the organizing team  as soon as possible so that we can organize the presentation of their bids in the best possible conditions.
